Linda J. Waite, Professor of Sociology
from the University of Chicago
Linda Waite is the Lucy Flower Professor in Urban Sociology
Her current research interests include social demography, aging, the family, health, working families,
and the link between biology, psychology and the social world.
Her current research focuses on the National Social Life, Heath, and Aging Process (NSHAP),
a study which has at its core a national survey of older adults first interviewed in 2005 and 2006.
A second interview is planned for NSHAP respondents and their partners in 2010.
